But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God ~ Acts 7:55
A man that is full of the Spirit of God sees! But what does he see? He sees the glory of God and he sees Jesus!

In our small group, we were talking about how Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. Some in our group thought this to be significant, as if Jesus were saying, “I finished the work, now I’m sitting down.” That explanation didn’t settle with me and now I’m thinking about this verse, where Jesus is “standing” at the right hand of God.
What significance do you see with whether Jesus is standing or sitting?

In the book of the Revelation, Jesus appeared to John and was seen by John as walking in the midst of the 7 churches. Jesus’s place at the Father’s right hand speaks to the authority, honor, and glory given to Jesus by the Father when he raised him from the dead.
